About This Video

Last month (September) I started a monthly mail club for stained glass artists called Pattern Club, and in this video I’m sharing what it is and all the behind-the-scenes that went into launching it. The whole idea came from wanting to create more and challenge myself to come up with new designs, and also because my sticker patterns have become really popular in my shop. So I thought: what if I made a brand new stained glass sticker pattern every month and mailed it out to subscribers? I worked on Pattern Club every single day in August, fully planned everything out, and launched it on September 1st at 12:00 p.m. It’s $8/month (I did $7 for the first 25 people), and you get an exclusive stained glass sticker pattern in the mail—plus a welcome card and sticker for first-time subscribers. You also get the digital files, can resize them, make as many as you want, and you get commercial use so you can sell what you make from the pattern. The prep was honestly super tedious—printing cards (both sides), printing envelopes in small batches so my printer wouldn’t jam, and then doing it all again later for addresses. Once subscriptions started rolling in way faster than I expected, I capped it at 300 so I could actually fulfill everything, and then my Cricut was cutting patterns for 18 hours over three days. Now it’s October, I’m working on the next pattern, and spots are open again if you want to join.
