In this military spouse vlog, I’m taking y’all along while we’re in full moving prep mode getting ready to leave Alaska. We start out handling real-life adult stuff—getting the car situated, checking oils, and dealing with a windshield crack that’s literally right in the middle and is about to cost us around $500. On top of that, I’m trying to finish up my childcare application for where we’re headed next, and I share what’s been helping me as a stay-at-home mom: the MCCYN program. It doesn’t cover everything, but it can take a big chunk off depending on your income, and for us it’s looking way more doable than paying $255 a week. I also talk about the moving parts I’m juggling—packing dishes, candles, and clothes, Michael patching the wall downstairs, and the stress of everything adding up. I’m being real with y’all: Alaska has not been my favorite, and I’m excited to get out of here. Then the sweetest surprise happens—Michael comes home with flowers in my favorite color and (y’all…) a brand new MacBook Air because my old laptop broke and I haven’t been able to edit like I want to. We end the day stuffed after eating, heading home to relax, and I share the book I’ve been into: The Last Thing He Told Me.
