About This Video

In this vlog I’m taking y’all through a real-life New Year moment as a late-20s (okay, 25) Christian mama in my third trimester, and I’m not sugarcoating it. I shared how I was dealing with a heavy rut and spiritual warfare—like, the kind where you’re trying to get close to God and the enemy gets on full attack. I talked about how fear and hesitation can look “reasonable,” but for me it was really disobedience because I was scared. And I had to remind myself: God didn’t give me the spirit of fear—He gave me love, power, and a sound mind. I also got super honest about what it looks like to suffer while following Christ, because we don’t talk about that enough. When you’re actively grieving or feeling like giving up, distractions won’t heal the real problem. I had to keep telling myself “God is so good,” and I felt in my spirit, “You’ve come way too far to stop now.” Then we did our Sam’s Club run as a military family—because Walmart be ghetto, I’m sorry—and I showed what we grabbed for our toddler and our home, plus how we try to shop smarter (bulk drinks, snacks, pull-ups). We went over budget (total was $416), but it’s the kind of stock-up that actually lasts and saves us trips.
