Welcome or welcome back to my channel sisters and brothers in Christ, my name is Alyasha and this video is all about fasting. When I fasted last year, there were many things I needed to be delivered from but also things I desired as well. Fasting is a necessary tool in our lives as followers of Jesus and it can be used for many different seasons. Comment down below your testimonies for encouragement and any comments. About This Video

In this video I’m talking all about fasting for Christ in 2025—and I’m sharing my testimony too. I know a lot of us hear “fasting” and automatically think Daniel Fast, but I wanted to open it up and show you there are different types of fasting and different seasons for it. To me, fasting is temporarily restraining your body to get closer to God—fully surrendering to Christ and trusting that He will meet you in your place of need. I also share scriptures that helped me understand fasting better, like Matthew 6 about not performing your fast for people, and examples throughout the Bible where God’s people fasted to realign their hearts, grieve, or hear direction from the Holy Spirit. I also get real about what fasting is (and isn’t). It’s not a diet, and if you’re only focused on “what do I eat,” you can miss the point. For me, there’s no fasting without prayer and reading the Word—because the purpose is to surrender and seek Him. Then I share what I prayed for during my fast: housing and a baby. God answered, but it wasn’t always easy—my pregnancy journey came with fear, testing, and moments where God had to humble me and grow my faith. If you’re fasting right now, I’m telling you—you got this. You can do anything through Christ, and God will take care of you.
