Where the hell do I even start—this is episode one of me building my startup/brand Zelos while bouncing around Australia. I’d just spent almost a month in Bali trying to grow Instagram and make that my full-time thing, but while I was there I found a bigger purpose: actually committing to a real product. Now I’m in Melbourne (after a Grampians road trip) doing the founder routine—cafes, co-working, long work blocks—trying to make this “build in public” lifestyle sustainable. In this vlog I break down what Zelos is: the world’s first calisthenics ELO ranking system. You upload your best skills, you get matched with similar ELO athletes, and a third person votes who’s stronger—over time your rating converges to your real level, globally or by country/city. I also show the unsexy but important stuff: test launching on TestFlight (30–50 users), watching backend metrics, migrating toward production, tightening Firestore security rules, and moving logic server-side (like following) for security and future-proofing. On the marketing side, I’m going organic—DMing athletes and communities, meeting Melbourne calisthenics crews, and using merch contests to build hype before the App Store release I’m aiming for by the end of the week.
