About This Video

This episode is basically a reset: I’m back in London after going full holiday mode in December (traveling Asia with my uni friends), and I’m trying to get the “building in public” momentum back. I walk through what I’m building with Zelos — the calisthenics equivalent of Strava — where athletes can post moves, get skill ratings, and compete. I also take you through a normal day rhythm: wake up, ship code, snack, then calisthenics training with Rahul (plus me testing some Bulk pre-workout I got sponsored for). I’m also thinking ahead about the Zelos brand side like performance tees, but the priority is getting the app out of beta first. On the startup side, I share a real cost/infra lesson: I was hosting videos/images on Firebase Storage and didn’t love the egress fees, so I started moving to Cloudflare R2 because it can be way cheaper (no egress fees, and a generous free tier). I also talk more about mindset going into 2026: in your mid-20s you’ve got freedom, so stop overthinking and just execute. On top of Zelos, I’m building a second app with a co-founder — DailyHanzi — a Chinese learning app that puts Chinese on your lock screen, backed by a flashcard system, a waitlist/landing page, and a launch plan. I’m handling tech, my co-founder Matt handles marketing, and honestly it’s refreshing not doing everything solo.
