After nearly four years in the same London flat, I’m finally moving out—tomorrow—and living out of a single suitcase for at least the next six months. London’s basically been my whole life: friends, family, routines, communities… all here. But that’s kind of the point. Building a startup gives you this rare “geographical freedom” and I don’t want to waste it, then wake up at 30 with more responsibilities and regret not taking the leap. My recent motto is simple: live with no regrets. In this episode, I pack up everything I need for 6–7 months and give a real update on the startup/app side. On Zelos, I transferred the app ownership from my personal developer account to the company account—people can still download it, but I can’t ship updates during the transfer, so development pauses briefly. On the other hand, DailyHanzi (my Chinese learning app with my co-founder Matt) launched about a week ago and we’ve already hit $8K revenue in App Store Connect (before Apple fees and tax). The next step is reinvesting—testing influencer collabs and UGC—because getting from a “$10k business” to a “$100k business” usually means putting profits back into growth. I end the vlog landing in China during Chinese New Year, taking in the moment, and starting this new chapter.
