In this video I’m 38+6 (basically 39 weeks tomorrow!) and I’m finally showing you everything we’ve got for our newborn and how I’ve organised it. It’s kind of a nursery tour, but not really about decor—more a proper look at the actual items we’ve got set up and where they live. Bub is in a tiny “temporary” room at the moment because the bigger room has water damage and I’m worried about mould in the carpet, so we’ll move him once that’s fixed. I walk you through my change table setup (including my reusable cloth wipes and an up-cycled spray bottle with boiled water), what I’m doing for nappies (cloth during the day and disposables at night until we’re in a wash routine), and what I’ve packed away in drawers like swaddles, sleep sacks, manuals, and bigger-size clothes. I also show the rocking chair I scored for $20 on Marketplace, the chest of drawers with the Tommee Tippee breast pump and bits, and the cloth nappy stash—newborn nappies already stuffed, one-size nappies for later, and extra inserts for heavier wetters. I also share a few “nice but not necessary” bits (like hooded baby towels because they’re cute), what was gifted vs what we bought, and a few things that aren’t in the room (car seat in the car, bottles in the kitchen, swing in the dining room, and bassinet options including a custom Winnie the Pooh one).
