I show you our dry pail setup (lots of holes for airflow—no soaking in water), how I deal with breastfed poo vs solids, and why a pre-wash matters so you’re actually removing the soiling before the main wash does the deep clean. I also share the exact kind of wash times and temps I use on my machine, plus why adding regular laundry into the main wash isn’t gross (honestly, if you have a baby, you’re washing vomit/wee/poo either way). I also show how I dry my nappies here in Queensland (no dryer needed), and I go through stuffing and folding different nappy styles—snap-in, pockets with front/back openings, and pockets with a single opening. I explain how I stack inserts (microfiber on top, bamboo underneath) and a little trick that makes stuffing way easier. Then I share my clean storage setup, including a low Montessori-style shelf so my toddler can be involved. Finally, I cover cloth wipes: what I use, how I fold them so they “self-feed” from a container, and my wipes solution—plus a mini vent about unsafe essential oil advice online. I keep it simple, fragrance-free, and appropriate for little skin.
