About This Video

This month’s Rambler Recap was pure chaos—in the best way—because I went live without Rich, without sleep, and with way too much caffeine. I’d been awake for 30 hours trying to finish our Discord book club pick (King Sorrow), and I was sitting there with literally two minutes left on the audiobook. So yeah… extra “one to rambly” energy. We chatted with everyone about what you’re reading, I rambled about my Europe trip (Prague was my number one city, Salzburg was a five-star experience), and we talked about how January is just kind of a cursed month for momentum. Reading-wise, I only finished Hunger of the Gods and King Sorrow, which might be my slowest month in recent memory. A lot of that came down to channel workload—our movie channel taking time, plus we’re days away from letting Patrons beta test the Rambler Rating website. Once Rich finally rolled in (late thanks to a flight delay), we confirmed his rough month too and talked next reads: The Poet Empress is locked in, we’re aiming to finish the Bloodsworn trilogy with Fury of the Gods, and Malazan (Memories of Ice) is still looming over us like a threat. We also did a big PO Box opening—publisher ARCs, indie books, and gifts from the community—plus some channel and book club updates along the way.
