About This Video

This month’s Rambler Recap (February 2026 — the big two-six) is basically us refusing to do the usual “ramble for 10 minutes and then start.” We jump straight into what we read, what hit, what missed, and what we’re lining up next. And I’m not exaggerating: this was one of the best reading months I can remember. We both read G.K. Chesterton’s The Man Who Was Thursday (weird, witty, thought-provoking, and somehow still feels fresh over a century later), and we both finished The Poet Empress by Shantel… which absolutely wrecked me in the best way. I’m talking edge-of-my-seat and crying, and it takes a lot for a book to get me there. We also talk current reads and near-future plans: I’m halfway through Ironbound by Andrew Gibler and having a kick-ass time (Red Rising meets Will of the Many meets Stormlight vibes), plus we’re staring down the “we’re so close, just finish it” pile—Book of the New Sun, Memories of Ice, Excalibur, and Fury of the Gods. On top of that, we recap the movies we watched (Nirvana the Band the Show the Movie was the clear winner; Scream 7… didn’t clear even my low bar), open a stack of PO box packages, and hit channel updates—yes, the rating site is still “very soon,” and I swear I want that to be the last tease.
