If you’ve ever vibe coded a custom internal tool and then got stuck with a “frontend toy,” this video is for you. I walk you through turning a simple Google AI Studio dashboard into a real multi-user app with proper Admin + User roles—so you stop paying hundreds per month for SaaS you can build yourself. We build a Refund Request Tool where employees can sign in, submit refund requests, and only see their own history, while I (the admin) get a “God Mode” dashboard to review everything and approve, reject, or mark requests as completed. I show my exact flow: generate the UI in AI Studio in basically one prompt, then connect Firebase as the backend. Inside Firebase, we enable email/password auth, create test users, spin up Firestore, and paste security rules (from my free guide) so users can’t see anyone else’s data. Then I use three prompts total: (1) connect Firebase via the SDK code, (2) auto-save signed-in users + their records into Firestore, and (3) add role-based logic by reading a role field in the user document. I also show how I maintain the system in Firebase—adding users, promoting admins by updating the role field, and sending password resets (plus why you should customize the auth email domain so it doesn’t land in spam).
