In this video I’m basically doing a little ritual for the start of 2026: 15 rules to live an artful year and—more importantly—to close the gap between “the person who wants to be an artist” and your actual, everyday artist self. I’m not talking about aesthetic productivity or pretending you’re inspired 24/7. I mean the real stuff: the habits, the boundaries, the tiny choices that make art feel inevitable again, even when life is loud. My approach is the same one I teach in spooky art education: treat creativity like a practice, not a personality trait you either have or don’t. We talk about building momentum with sketchbook prompts, using creative rituals to get you back into your body, and choosing an artful life on purpose—one page, one session, one commitment at a time. If you’ve been feeling like your “artist self” is always just slightly out of reach, this is me handing you a map (with a candle and a little witchy encouragement) so you can meet them halfway and then keep going.
