In today’s video I’m doing Van Cleef & Arpels birthday shopping and I was so excited because I finally got to try on a bunch of pieces I’ve been curious about—especially from the Frivole collection, the new Zodiac collection, and of course Alhambra. I started with the Frivole earrings in yellow gold with diamonds in the large size (sooo shiny), then compared it to the small size in white gold just to see the difference. Personally, I liked how the large size hides the little hook underneath, while on the small you can actually see it. I also tried on the new Zodiac pieces (I had to do Capricorn because my birthday is January 10th), and I was surprised there was actual weight to it—it felt really solid and super shiny. Then we got into Alhambra, including the five motif carnelian bracelet that I keep trying on every time I visit. I’m still deciding between carnelian, guilloché, and agate because I want a deeper, darker red than the more orangey carnelian I tried here. One of the coolest try-ons was the transformable Alhambra necklace that can detach into a bracelet—such a fun two-in-one piece. I also stacked a large Frivole necklace with my mini and I’m honestly really digging that combo for my wish list next. Plus, I shared a little update that the VCA boutique at my Crystal Mall renovated and even added a bar now—so stay tuned for the unboxing!
