Hey guys, it’s Trish. In this Lunar New Year vlog, I’m taking you along for a full “day in my life” style celebration—starting at a Vietnamese church festival after mass. Everyone is dressed up, there are photo ops, and I wore a traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài) with cute little flower clips in my hair. I walked around checking out the food booths (they had everything from pandan waffles to egg rolls, fried rice, and different drinks), and I shared what I actually ate and what I thought—crispy chicken is always a yes for me, but I’ll be honest, it needed more flavor. After church, I kept it super casual and went to In-N-Out for a root beer float, fries, and a cheeseburger (no tomatoes, no onions). Then my boyfriend and I checked into the Sahara for a little staycation moment—clean, nice, and newer, with good restaurants. For dinner, we went to one of my favorites: Chubby Cattle Hot Pot. I love getting the mushroom base, then loading up on enoki mushrooms, pumpkin, and lots of meat. We ended the night the way we usually do every year—Lunar New Year gambling games with my sister and cousins, including Bầu cua cá cọp, plus cards like blackjack and baccarat-style games.
