NotebookLM isn't just for summarizing text anymore—you can now build structured data tables (spreadsheets) directly from your research sources. This video shows you how to use the new Data Table artifact to extract complex information into rows and columns in seconds. Unlike the current Slide Deck feature, NotebookLM Data Tables allow for direct export to Google Sheets, creating a seamless path from raw research to a functional database. The Data Table Blueprint: 1. Access the Studio: Inside any notebook with at least one source, find the Data Table option in the right-hand Studio sidebar. 2. Prompt for Extraction: Use a specific prompt to tell the AI what data points to compare (e.g., "Generate a table of triangle types and their defining internal angles"). 3. Review & Expand: Generation is incredibly fast, often under 20 seconds. Click to expand the table for a full-screen view of your rows and columns. 4. One-Click Export: Click the Google Sheets icon to instantly open a new, auto-saved spreadsheet in your Google Drive.
