How to Recreate FAQs in NotebookLM (After the Update)

Google removed the one-click FAQ button in NotebookLM, and honestly, the workaround is a bit of a mess. If you're tired of digging through 10-page summaries just to find a few basic questions, here is how you force the "Create Your Own" report tool to behave.....slightly. You’ll see me go through about three different fails in this video. I told NotebookLM exactly what I wanted (no answers, just questions) and it basically said, "That’s nice, here’s a 5-minute summary you didn't ask for." It’s the reality of working with these tools, which is that sometimes you just have to keep iterating until it gives you something usable. Step 1: Head to notebooklm.google.com and open your notebook. Step 2: Ensure your sources are selected (the checked box is key). Step 3: Open the Reports menu in the Studio sidebar. Step 4: Choose Create Your Own and use a specific prompt (see the video for the template that actually got close).
