I took the exact, original prompt from the OpenAI blog post and run it in Gemini to see if it can successfully build a functional game in one shot! The Generative UI Challenge Blueprint: 1. The Prompt (Stolen from OpenAI): The goal is to create an app where the user must type falling words before they reach the bottom, including features like score tracking and an animated city background. 2, Access Canvas: I used Gemini 3 Pro and selected Canvas to ensure the model focuses on generating a runnable application. 3. The Code Speed: While GPT-5.2 was slow (taking several minutes for its attempt), Gemini generated a functional code base at a much faster, real-time pace. 4. The Functional Result: Unlike the GPT-5.2 attempt, Gemini's generated game actually works as described, with the correct goal and mechanics.
