Gemini Instructions: How to Save Preferences Like ChatGPT Memory

Do you find yourself constantly telling Gemini to "be concise," "avoid jargon," or "don't use emojis"? Just like ChatGPT’s Memory feature, Google has introduced "Instructions for Gemini." This allows you to save specific preferences that the AI will remember across every new conversation until you change or delete them. The Custom Instruction Blueprint: 1. Find the Setting: Go to Gemini.Google.com. In the bottom left-hand corner, click "Settings and Help" and then select "Instructions for Gemini". 2. Toggle it On: Ensure the feature is active so your instructions are applied to future chats. 3. Set Your Rules: You can add anything that helps the AI fit your workflow. - Style: "I prefer short, concise responses" or "Avoid jargon". - Technical: "I only write code in JavaScript". - Personal: "I'm a vegetarian, so don't suggest meat recipes". - Formatting: "Include a Spanish translation after every response".
