About This Video

In this video I’m revisiting the Piorama Omni — this is the updated Version 2.0 — and walking through what’s changed since my original review. The Omni is that really handy hybrid piece of gear: a padded laptop sleeve that flips open into a proper desk caddy/organiser, so your stationery and tech bits are just sitting there ready to go. I cover the materials (600D nylon outside, 210D polyester lining), the YKK zips, the dimensions (13.75 x 9.75 x ~1.5 in / 35 x 25 x 4 cm) and the weight (about 300 g), then I do a practical pack-out with the kind of stuff I actually carry. The big upgrades for me are simple but genuinely useful: the internal accent colours, plus the new top handle and removable strap. That turns it from “great on the desk” into something I can carry like a briefcase or wear crossbody through airports and to work. I also talk through the pocket layout on both sides (A5 fits comfortably, plus mesh/elastic pouches and zip compartments), and the one practical quirk I noticed while travelling: one side opens “the wrong way” when it’s slung over your shoulder, so access isn’t equally convenient from both sides. Overall though, it’s robust, well-designed, and ridiculously adaptable — exactly the kind of practical, well-built gear I love using.
