About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing the Gravitas Pens Entry in raw copper — and it’s one I’ve had in my collection for about 9–10 months, so this isn’t a “first fill” opinion. I walk through the design (it’s essentially the little brother to the Sentry), the cap and barrel shape with those Gravitas peaked finials I really love, and the updated features on the revised model: triple-start Acme threads and a Delrin cap liner that makes the cap feel super smooth with no clanky metal-on-metal. I also cover the practical stuff: it’s a standard international cartridge/converter pen (converter included), it posts deeply and securely, and it’s a genuinely heavy copper pen — 71g inked — which people either love or hate. I do a writing sample with the #6 Gravitas steel fine nib using Tono & Lims No. 19, and I talk honestly about how ink choice affects performance (this one’s a bit dry and can skip a touch). Overall, with a wetter ink, this pen writes beautifully, and if you enjoy copper patina and a robust EDC-style pen, this one has a lot going for it.
