We Had to Harvest Before the Storm Hit…

Storms are rolling into southeast Louisiana, which means it’s time to harvest what we can and secure the garden before the weather gets rough. 🌧️🌱 In today’s garden update, I’m harvesting our first paste tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and cherry tomatoes while also trying to make sure everything is tied down and supported before several rounds of severe weather move through. From securing the hydroponic tomato wall to checking on the backyard beds that have survived past hurricanes, this is a very real look at preparing a small backyard garden for storm season here in the South. We also finally got the hydroponic tomato trellis built just in time, and now we wait to see how everything holds up over the next several days.
