A Full Homestead Day | Garden Planting, Bees & Pond Updates

Join me for a BIG homestead day as we tackle multiple projects around our Louisiana homestead and emergency backup garden! In today’s homestead update, I’m giving y’all a full garden tour and checking on our raised beds, pollinator garden, and in-ground garden after weeks of heavy rain and storms. We’re planting out three new WorkPro raised garden beds with sweet potatoes, peppers, and pumpkins while talking low maintenance gardening, survival crops for hot southern summers, composting in place, and growing food with minimal irrigation. We also stock our homestead pond with minnows, brim, and catfish as we continue building up the pond ecosystem, put up bird feeders to help protect tomatoes naturally, and finish the day with a full bee hive inspection where we check brood production, capped honey, and even find the queen bee laying eggs!
