Slowly Turning 3 Acres Into Our Dream Homestead | Progress Update

In today’s homestead update we’re sharing some BIG progress on our journey from suburban HOA living to building our dream homestead on 3 acres in southeast Louisiana (Zone 9A). Things are finally starting to feel real out here! In this update we’re showing our house build progress with the slab officially poured, protecting our young fruit tree orchard from heavy deer pressure, fertilizing our trees for spring growth, setting up swarm traps as beginner beekeepers, moving bamboo, and planning future pecan and nut trees for the property. We’re learning as we go, making mistakes, and figuring out real-life homesteading one step at a time.
