I was watching a new movie on Netflix called “A Line of Fire” and had one of those surreal full-circle moments—around 11:30 in, I recognized my old film ranch, The Eclectic West. Seeing the gas station set we built pop up in an actual Netflix film is wild. It’s always so fun when you’re watching a show or movie and one of your studios is just… there, doing its job on screen. Now, I don’t own that property anymore—I sold it a year or two ago, and honestly that killed me because it was my baby. But during the time I had it, it was some of the best years of my life. We had an airplane crash set, a cabin, the gas station, a mechanic shop, plus 40 acres of high desert landscape, and it ended up hosting over 500 film and photo productions. Even though that studio chapter is gone, it was a profitable move and a major catalyst that helped lead me into the film studios I run in LA today.
