The wild part is, the same stuff people doubted is now being used to help create effects you’re seeing on major Hollywood shows and movies. That doesn’t happen by trying to look cool—it happens by having unwavering faith in an idea and being willing to be seen while you’re figuring it out. The biggest takeaway: everything that’s worked for me—music videos, YouTube, and then building brands like Tropic Colour and Prism Lens Effects—came from pure love, not chasing money or fame. Anytime I’ve tried to do something just because it seemed like a “gap in the market” or a quick way to make money, it’s fallen flat. Business has peaks and valleys, and when it gets hard (and it will), if you don’t genuinely love what you’re doing, you’ll fold. So ignore the haters, put the noise aside, and keep moving if you truly believe in it and it fulfills you.
