In this video I’m breaking down a really specific (and honestly crazy) opportunity inside my 2025 Horror Short Film Contest: we’re giving away two $5,000 budgets to fund two of your next short films. This year, two filmmaking groups who place in the top 10 will be hand-selected by me and the FearPix team to get that $5K funding to go make their next short. I’m a huge believer that short films are calling cards to bigger opportunities—sometimes they get adapted into features, and sometimes they just open doors you wouldn’t get otherwise. I’ve even had industry conversations where producers basically say, “Bring me something original and scary that proves you can direct, and we can talk feature-level money.” So my message is simple: take your shots on goal—go make a movie and enter the contest.
