Sora 2 is finally here, and in this video I break down what makes it different—and then I automate the whole thing inside n8n. I show you why everyone is talking about Sora 2: better physics, way more realistic motion, solid face expressions, and surprisingly good audio that actually matches what’s happening on screen. The catch is: the “new Sora” website access needs an invite code. So I walk you around that by using the OpenAI API (platform.openai.com) and generating videos directly with an API key. Then I take you step-by-step through my n8n workflow: a form submission collects the prompt, reference image/video, model (Sora 2 or Sora 2 Pro), duration (4/8/12 seconds), and size (portrait or landscape). I upload the reference to Google Drive, log everything to Google Sheets, send the video creation request via HTTP, and keep polling until the status turns “completed.” Once it’s ready, I download the video, upload it back to Drive, and store the final URL + cost in Sheets. I also break down pricing with real examples: Sora 2 is about $0.10/sec (my 8-second video cost $0.80), and Sora 2 Pro can jump to $0.30–$0.50/sec depending on quality—so you need to be intentional with prompts and testing.
