About This Video

Every time I closed my laptop, my coding session would basically die. Whatever I was building for a client would pause, and I’d have to go back to my desk to keep moving. In this video, I break down Claude Code’s new “Remote Control” feature in normal-people terms: one command that lets me keep my Claude coding agent running on my local machine, but control the whole session from my phone—without moving files off my computer. I show the full setup in four steps: install Claude Code, run it inside your project folder, authenticate and authorize access to your local directory, then start Remote Control with the /remote-control command. From there, you connect via a session URL, a QR code, or directly inside the Claude mobile app where the in-progress session shows up. I also cover the real-world constraints: it only works on Pro and Max plans, your terminal has to stay open, you need continuous internet, and if you lose connection you’ve got a short window (around 10 minutes) before the session is gone. The bigger takeaway is the shift: you start tasks, step away, let agents run in parallel, and check in from anywhere—this is what “AI-assisted work” actually looks like day-to-day.
