In this video I put Korean makeup vs American makeup head-to-head… on my own face. The twist: I only had 15 minutes to do both sides, and I kept score round-by-round (primer, base, powder, blush/highlighter, contour, brows, eyeshadow, liner/mascara, lips, and setting spray) before a mystery judge picked the final winner. Right side was Team Korea, left side was Team USA, and I tried to stay true to each vibe—K-beauty “glass skin,” subtle glow, and dainty details vs the more bold, classic American beat. Some rounds genuinely surprised me. Korea took primer (super hydrating, glowy, lightweight) and absolutely ate in blush/highlighter and contour—like, I’m obsessed with that Korean contour palette and I’m actually putting it in my everyday kit. America clutched base (my Korean cushion was way too light on me), plus brows and liner/mascara because I love a darker, more defined look. Eyeshadow and setting spray ended up as ties because the styles are just so different. Then my secret judge Carter came in, roasted me a little, and still picked Team Korea—especially the pink glitter side. Moral of the story: K-beauty really does live up to the hype in a lot of categories… and that Korean mascara is basically immortal.
