About This Video

In this video I break down how I built a brand new SaaS product solo in just 5 days: middletext.ailanding.io. I’m doing this whole journey as a solopreneur—no team, very little funding—basically using my monthly salary as my “runway” to keep shipping products until I can replace my full-time job income. The idea came from a real pain: I like thumbnails where the text sits behind the subject, but doing it manually in Canva takes me 10–15 minutes every time. I even saw someone else building a similar tool, but the pricing felt shady (it jumped when I was about to buy), so I used that disappointment as fuel and built my own. I show the exact stack and workflow I used: I researched with Perplexity, built full-stack with Next.js, deployed on Vercel, used MongoDB, hosted the image-processing AI model on Railway, tracked traffic with DataFastest, and used Cursor.ai like my “personal senior programmer” to vibe code the features (while still validating the code myself). I integrated Stripe, shipped fast, and marketed only through organic social using my own scheduler blastfast.io. Big takeaway: I made zero dollars. Building fast is doable—selling is the real game. My job isn’t to magically convince everyone; it’s to reach as many people as possible, keep iterating, fail fast, and learn the marketing muscle for the next product.
