In this video I break down what I learned about getting YouTube subscribers by actually testing the algorithm, not just reading about it. Five days ago I posted two videos on the same night, and the difference in performance was crazy. One video sat at around 59 views after a week because YouTube didn’t “capture enough information” to recommend it. The other one hit around 388 views, earned me 4 subscribers, and pulled almost 10 hours of watch time—because YouTube gathered enough signals and started pushing it out. My main takeaway is simple: learn from doing. When YouTube finally understands your video (topic, audience, watch time signals), it can start recommending it—and that’s when the video can “fly.” I’m also sharing this because I’m going the solopreneur route and finishing my MVP, with a two-week early access goal (14-day free trial). YouTube is one of the platforms I’m using to market my product and drive signups, and as I keep building, I’ll share more—like what happens to revenue/MRR once the app is live and the marketing system starts working.
