This was my first time posting a video of myself talking directly to you, and I did it on a Monday morning while I’m literally on my way to work. I just wanted to say thank you—my Threads account hit 2,000 followers. That milestone means a lot because it’s part of what I’m testing as I build in public, and I’ve been building startups since late last year (around November). I’m also about to ship my fifth startup, and I’ve put a lot of time, effort, and value into it—even though I can’t reveal the domain name yet. The bigger point is this: I know what it feels like to do this alone. I’m just like you—I worked a 9-to-5, I self-taught myself how to code, and I switched from a rough construction environment into software development. Builders love to build, but we can’t keep shipping forever without cash flow—those wins are the dopamine that keeps us going. My fifth startup is motivated by that reality: I want solopreneurs, indie hackers, and builders to have a place to hang out, share what they learned even when products fail, and leverage those journeys into digital products (free or paid) and mentorship so new builders can make fewer mistakes.
