About This Video

In this video I review the Orbital Pathfinder, and yeah—I genuinely think it can be the only mouse you need if you want a one-and-done purchase. The whole point is modularity: you can swap the back hump, the side shapes, and even the side buttons to basically copy the feel of other mice. I go through the unboxing (which is easily one of the best I’ve seen), the included modular parts, and the accessories like the 8K dongle, the elevated USB-C cable, and the three types of X-raypad collab skates (speed/control/average). Then I get into what matters: build quality, weight, clicks, scroll, and performance. Barebones it’s around 44–45g (with skates), and depending on the parts you add it can land closer to ~55g. The main and side clicks are Omron optical with an insanely solid implementation—super light, spammable, basically no pre-travel, and a little post-travel. My favorite setup is the high hump (my “dream back hump”), average sides, and I talk about spacers to change length/width. Specs are flagship: 3950 sensor, Nordic 52840, stable 8K, and both web + installed software. My only real con is the click shell edge can interfere with my ring finger depending on grip, but that’s it.
