Solid mouse, but the coating is a deal breaker. About This Video

In this video I review the Akko/Echo Dash Ultra (Dash) — a $59 gaming mouse that’s basically “best specs for cheap,” but with one big catch. I go through the unboxing and what you actually get for the money (three pairs of skates, three grip tape options, a nice light braided cable, and a metal 8K dongle). Packaging is kinda mediocre, but the accessory bundle is genuinely stacked for the price, and I like that there’s no receiver puck (I don’t like those anyway). Then I break down the shape and how it feels in hand (my hand size is 18x9cm). It’s not a direct clone, but in-hand it reminds me a lot of the Pulsar X2 Crazy Light Mini around the rear hump and the straight side profile, just a bit taller and more palm-filling. Mine weighed 44.7g with the large skates, and the skates are improved versus the older Echo Nest — smoother edges and better glide on cloth and glass. Performance-wise, it’s loaded: latest Nordic MCU + latest sensor implementation, solid polling stability, Bluetooth support, and a 500mAh battery. The optical Omron main clicks are the highlight — super hard to beat at this price. My main complaints are the slippery/plasticky coating (deal breaker for some) and side buttons that sink into the shell, plus a scroll wheel on my unit that felt a bit loose.
