In this quick channel update, I’m moving the community chat side of Sound Matters over to Patreon and closing the forum section on yoursoundmatters.com. The simple truth is the website forum hasn’t really worked: I can’t maintain it properly, it’s clunky, and it’s not a great user experience for me or for you. I don’t want the community side of what we do to be held back by a platform that’s awkward to manage. So I’ve set up a new, free space on Patreon called the Online Virtual Record Store Chat. The goal is to build a real hub where we can all talk records and music, share our latest finds, ask questions, and help each other—rather than it just being me talking to you through videos. There will still be a premium area (the Flip Side Members Lounge) for those who support me as paid GrooveGuardian members, and I’m genuinely grateful for that support, but there’s absolutely no pressure.
