I rated it 4 stars because it was gripping, but I’m also a certified wimp when it comes to gore, so I did skim a few parts. Next, I dive into Five Survive by Holly Jackson (I love her simple, easy-to-fly-through thriller writing style), and I fully lean into playing detective—highlighting clues, making guesses, and hoping to be wrong. I wrap up by starting It’s Not Her by Mary Kubica on a train ride, and I’m already obsessed with the concept and the pacing. Cozy vibes, coffee, winter views, and twisty books—peak enjoyment.
