Desk Setup 2024 is here, and yeah… I know, it looks like I “just moved my PS5 to the corner,” but I put a lot of blood (literally), sweat, and tears into dialing this room in. In this video I walk through what stayed the same—like my LG 38WN95C ultrawide, my still-beastly last-gen PC, my M1 Max MacBook hybrid workflow, and the furniture/storage that keeps everything functional (IKEA drawers, pegboard, and my Herman Miller chair that now creaks like it’s got opinions). Then I get into what actually changed: the FlexiSpot E5 standing desk, new Amazon wood/acoustic wall panels, and a lighting overhaul that basically turned me into a Govee fanboy. I added the Neon Rope Light 2 (Matter support is huge for my HomeKit setup), the Govee Glide, and that wild floor lamp with RGB plus a Bluetooth speaker. I also finally added a side key light using the Amaran P60X because I wanted physical buttons and real studio-quality soft light. From there, it’s desk accessories and peripherals—Balolo’s modular monitor stand system, DeltaHub’s Carpio + gaming mat + to-do board, my “one-and-done” Keychron Q3 Pro SE, dual-mouse life (G502 X Plus for productivity), and my headset picks for PC vs PS5. I wrap it all up with the docks that make the whole MacBook brain / dock heart workflow possible—and yes, the most important addition: the Pokémon plushies watching over everything.
