About This Video

Everyone wants that “pro controller” experience, but not everybody wants to drop $200 to get it. In this video I tested the FLYDIGI Vader 4 Pro in 2025 to see if it’s still the value king, and I’m coming at it from an average gamer’s perspective (if you want the super technical deep dive, I point you to Gamer Heaven and vCuda). Right away, the Vader 4 Pro gave me big Xbox Core controller vibes in size, weight, and overall ergonomics—but then it starts getting in its bag with all the extra buttons, dials, and Hall Effect sensors. I go over what you get in the box, how it feels in-hand, and why the back button layout is honestly one of my favorites out of the pro controllers I’ve used—recessed, out of the way, and fully programmable (or disable-able) in the app. You also get two extra front-facing buttons, adjustable stick tension on the fly (no tool), and trigger toggles for short, clicky pulls that sound super satisfying. For performance, it was buttery smooth for me across Stellar Blade, Marvel Rivals, and COD, especially wired or on the 2.4 dongle. My main knocks are Bluetooth on PC feeling too slow, battery life being just okay (about 10–12 hours with RGB on, ~16 with it off), and the fact it’s PC/Switch only with no headphone jack. Still, at around $80, I rated it a “buy at full price” with a 9/10 value score.
