I made it to Vegas and immediately learned the first lesson: don’t rush early check-in if it’s going to cost you. My hotel wanted $60 for early check-in (which would’ve been $120 total), so I checked my bag with the bell desk and hit the Strip instead. I compared Uber vs Lyft prices, walked around in the heat, and ended up buying a 3-day Monorail pass for about $29 because I was not about to keep paying $39 Ubers. The Monorail honestly saved me time, energy, and a lot of extra walking through crowds. I linked up with Bri (the birthday girl), explored the Cosmopolitan area, and we ate so good—dumplings, green beans, and all the “camera time” food.
