With the right prep and a little patience, I can get that fresh, polished, “I just left the salon” look right in my bathroom. After I remove my old press-ons, I start with a warm water + Epsom salt soak (my favorite part), then I use cuticle remover to soften everything up so cleanup is easier. I gently push back my cuticles, clean around the nail bed, and then I focus on my problem area—my heels—because they can get dry and crack in the summertime. I exfoliate, lightly buff the nail bed, clip and file my toenails, then wipe with alcohol to remove oils so the glue grips better.
