Hey babes—this video is me officially starting my relaxed hair journey again after being natural for over 5 years. I also made sure I had my neutralizing shampoo ready for after because we’re not playing about healthy hair over here. After rinsing and drying, I went in with color because a fresh relaxer with a fresh color is just that girl—period. I used the Beautiful Collection Advanced Gray Solution in Midnight Black because I wanted that jet black, 90s/2000s vibe. Then I blow-dried and flat-ironed with my Chi (my fave), and I showed y’all how my hair still keeps waves and body even when it’s relaxed—my hair has never been bone straight, and I’m not mad at it. The big takeaway? I want ease. I don’t need my hair controlling my whole day, and this routine got me from start to finished hair without it taking forever.
