About This Video

In this 2025 Mexican GP review, I’m basically serving “absolute cinema”… with a side of “i love you fia” sarcasm. We had a rare slow news week (yes, the FIA got hacked—apparently it was super easy, barely an inconvenience), a rookie-packed free practice, and a quali session where the biggest story was who fell out. Oscar’s weekend had me in pain again—P8 in quali with a suspected PU issue—while Lando dropped what might be the most offensive pole lap we’ve ever seen at Rodriguez. Then the race happened and the FIA fully woke up and chose violence. The start was chaos, Max tried to make four-wide happen, and somehow we got a Hamilton/Verstappen scrap that triggered actual Vietnam flashbacks. Ollie Bearman overtaking Max was peak “breakfast of champions” behavior and the definition of rookie of the year energy. Meanwhile Mercedes ran a strategy disaster class with the Russell/Kimi swap drama, and Ferrari did Ferrari things. The race should’ve been a 5/5 for me, but the late VSC robbed us of two endgame battles (Max on Leclerc, Oscar on Bearman), so I land on 4/5. Lando wins, Leclerc P2, Max P3—and the part that hurts? Norris leads the championship by one point. I’m fine. Totally fine.
