About This Video

Good morning, race fans—this was my 2025 Qatar GP review, aka “Oh my god, it’s happening.” Because it’s real: the championship is going to Abu Dhabi, and that’s literally all I wanted. I kick things off with the big paddock headline (Adrian Newey to Aston Martin as team principal in 2026), and yes, my stance is simple: as long as Fernando Alonso gets the rocket ship he deserves, I do not care about the PR org chart. Then I run through the weekend format chaos—sprint quali surprises, Oscar Piastri rising “like the Phoenix” back to pole, and a sprint that was honestly one of the worst of all time. Quali was better (track limits galore, Piastri track record, the Sainz plastic red flag moment, and Lando’s weird aborted lap that somehow still ends in P2). The race itself turns into a strategy-heavy waiting game: Gasly/Hülkenberg bring out the lap 7 safety car, everyone pits… except McLaren, which is where my frustration really starts. Max Verstappen reads the situation perfectly and wins, Piastri comes home P2, and Carlos Sainz pulls off absolute cinema for P3 in a Williams—my Ace of the Race. I wrap with superlatives (Haas mechanics disasterclass, McLaren strategy fumble), a 2/5 rating for a boring Qatar, and a full prayer circle for Abu Dhabi.
