If you have acute, sharp lateral (outside) patella knee pain, that comes on during movements like down stairs, single leg squat, knee bends, THEN WATCH THIS! Most likely you have Quads (mostly VMO) muscle weakness and atrophy that is compounding the problem, making the pain worse and preventing you from getting better. The trick is to strengthen the quads WITHOUT bringing on the pain. This is hard to do for most people.. so here are my 4 tricks to get you improving. These have to be done in order: 1) TKE (Swiss Ball) 2) Knee Extension (Isometric) - Loop Band 3) One leg Ball Squat (Regression) 4) Step down (Regression) #kneepain #patella #kneerehab #vmo Become a member of our YOU TUBE channel to get exclusive content in 'The Physio Rehab Exercise Library' here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV40pJjeDHOu_67hEZsgtvw/join or visit youtube.com/@physiorehab Tim Keeley B.Phty, Cred.MDT, APAM Principal Physiotherapist Like this video?
