About This Video

In this video I review the Moondrop Edge active noise cancelling headphones and put them through the full OCM treatment: unboxing, build and comfort, controls, app features, battery, Bluetooth performance, ANC/transparency, mic recordings, and a proper sound test. The big headline is the value—at around $79 USD / £79, you’re getting a sleek, solid-metal design around the yoke, lightweight comfort at about 256g, and a feature set that includes hybrid ANC, beamforming mics, and 40mm low-distortion dynamic drivers. I also cover the real-world stuff that matters: USB-C charging (about 1.5 hours from dead to full, and 5 minutes for roughly 4 hours playback), a rated 48-hour battery, Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint, and codec support including SBC, AAC, and LDAC (with the usual battery-life trade-off). Latency was excellent for me across YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video. Sound-wise, I think Moondrop played it safe. The stock tuning comes across flat, with a bit of missing low-end—especially sub-bass. The “Extra Bass” preset helps, but it can get a little muddy and lose some clarity up top. I recommend the Edge mainly for casual listeners, and if Moondrop fixes the small button layout quirks and improves the iOS app experience, this becomes a headphone that’s hard to ignore at the price.
