In this video I do a detailed review of the OXS Thunder Duo X Dolby Atmos speaker system—covering the unboxing, pricing, design, features, controls, connectivity, battery life, and then finishing with a full binaural sound demo. At the time of filming it was around $449 on Kickstarter (with an estimated $649 retail), and I also break down the different bundles: the dual speakers by themselves, the X package with the wireless neck speaker (what I tested), the S package with a subwoofer, and the Max bundle with everything. Design-wise, this thing has a bold, futuristic “battle station” look with a transparent reflective front panel and customizable reactive RGB lighting. The drivers are angled up about 8° to aim at your ears, and the modular concept is honestly one of the coolest parts—OXS lets you expand wirelessly from 3.1.2 to 5.1.2 over time. The neck speaker is the standout: it clips to your chair, moves with you, and acts as your rear surround channel without stands or wall mounts. For sound, I talk through the driver setup, the Xspace spatial audio engine, and what I heard in gaming and movie content: clear left/right separation, strong positional accuracy, overhead effects, punchy bass that isn’t messy, clean mids, and detailed highs. I also explain the EQ modes (music/movie = more bass, gaming = more detail, studio = lower/“flatter” output) and give my recommendations depending on whether you’re gaming at a desk or watching movies from a sofa.
