In this video I unbox and review the Harman Kardon Aura Studio 4, and I run a proper sound quality test so you can hear what it’s really like before you buy. I go through what you get in the box, the current pricing (around $293 US / £279 UK at the time I recorded), and then I break down the design and features—because with the Aura lineup, the look is a big part of the appeal. The transparent dome is still here, but the Aura Studio 4 steps it up with multicolor ambient lighting and 223 light crystals that react to your music, which honestly looks incredible in low light. I also cover the controls (touch buttons along the side), power and connectivity, and the driver setup: six mid-to-high drivers plus a 5.2-inch downfiring subwoofer for that room-filling sound. After the sound test, I share my real impressions: the bass is tight, punchy, and clean without being overpowering, and the mids come through clear and crisp. To my ears it’s similar to the Aura Studio 3, but tuned a little crispier in the highs. Finally, I talk about the downsides you should know—no battery, older Bluetooth (4.1/4.2), and no app or EQ—and then I give my recommendation. Even with those compromises, I still think it’s a great fusion of art and audio engineering if you want a unique, premium-looking speaker with impressive sound.
