In this video I show you the Weesalife Sputnik chandelier installed in my space, and I’ll be honest—I love how it looks over the table. This model uses nine glass inserts, and those glass casings are pretty heavy, so it feels more substantial than some lightweight “modern” fixtures I’ve tried. I flip it on so you can see the brightness and the way the light hits the crystal-style glass, because that’s really what sells the look in real life. I also talk through the bulb situation, because it matters. The packaging said 60W, but the actual bars on the fixture said 40W, so I played it safe and went with 40W bulbs—and I’m glad I did because it’s already kind of bright. You do need special G9 bulbs, and I paid about $17 for a five-pack, so with nine sockets I had to buy two packs. One downside from my install: I found one of the glass pieces had a chip, and I didn’t want to disassemble everything just to swap it, so I call out that replacement part issue too.
