Trying to stay productive but tired of living inside apps? In this video, I share a simple analog alternative to Google Calendar called the Daily Plan Bar — a minimalist paper system inspired by Mike Rohde. This offline planning method helps you: • visualize your entire day • reduce digital distractions • protect deep focus time • stay productive without burnout All you need is a notebook (blank, grid, or dot grid), a pen, and optionally a ruler. If digital calendars, time-blocking apps, or productivity systems overwhelm you, this might be the reset you need. 📓 Simple 🧠 Clear 📵 Offline Let me know in the comments — do you plan digitally or on paper? About This Video

I went straight to the point in this video: I found a simple analog alternative to Google Calendar and all those time-planning apps, and it genuinely helped me stay productive without obsession—and without sacrificing my mental health. Full credit goes to Mike Rohde for the concept. I stumbled on the method online, tested it myself, and liked how it changed my focus and my sense of control over the day, so I had to share it. The system is called the Daily Plan Bar. It’s basically time-blocking, a calendar, and a daily log—completely offline. You draw a vertical timeline on a notebook page, divide it into rough hours, label the time, and then “map” your day with blocks for meetings, work, deep focus, breaks—whatever matters. Next to it, I keep a simple task list (I star the important stuff), and the rest of the page becomes free space for notes, ideas, and the inevitable chaos. For me, it works because it lives outside the phone, shows the whole day at a glance, and doesn’t demand perfection—just an intentional day.
